Media Buddhi - LOGO Concept and Design 2020
By mosquitomassala | On 26/11/2021 | In Visual Communication
Mosquito Massala had the pleasure to work with the journalist H. R. Venkatesh
to conceptualise and create the Multi-Lingual Logo for his project Media Buddhi.
The Logo was further animated by Sidharth Pratap Singh and is featured in the videos and other visual communication around the project.
"On BOOM's digital literacy program, we invite guest speakers to discuss the most pressing issues with digital media usage, digital exposure for children, breaking down information bias and teach everyone to fact check fake news, polarizing news and dog whistles for themselves. Let's create a world that is safer for everyone." - Media Buddhi

Our various approaches into the linguistic and text explorations led us to certain observations and iterations:
- A friendly, Round, Stable, Organic Typography
-latin alphabet referencing to local alphabets
-Medium+ spacing to give space to breathe and time to think (i.e. not oppressive, no overcrowding. For example, can colour create this clarity if letters are too close by. )
-witty ways of visually referencing the diversity and culture of India, and opening the conversation to regional language speakers.
-to identify one's own language in all the languages.
-option of incorporating Boom logo colour (red) into Media Buddhi to create the connection across both entities.
-to make a vector format so that the logo can be shown clearly across all platforms of print and web.
